As the world’s largest online marketplace—one comprised of 93 million active users—eBay is uniquely equipped to serve as a cultural barometer. Its global community helps set and forecast shopping trends daily through its searches, purchases and live sales.
The Inside Source, eBay’s digital style magazine, is a media destination that harnesses these unique insights to tell stories about what people are shopping for right now—their collections, their passions and their must-haves.
Using real-time, proprietary data provided by eBay, plus inspiration, tips and personal accounts from tastemakers, the editorial team at The Inside Source produces content daily on topics in the areas of fashion, home and garden and pop culture.
I wrote this copy, which is featured on the current site’s About Us page.
My team at Edelman Digital San Francisco developed The Inside Source idea in 2009. Since then, the site’s design has been revamped from its original look, which is pictured above, but the digital, shareable and stylish spirit remains.
